There are a lot of speculations about the grants that Obama has launched for debt relief. Question is how real are they? Are they not harebrained schemes made by some of our illustrious brothers to gain wealth and make stockholders richer? Will these debt relief grants truly alleviate the debts incurred or will they be another black hole of liabilities that we can’t get out of?
With the ill fated recession going on, a lot of people find themselves swimming in debt and climbing mountain after mountain of liabilities. No matter how hard one works, it still is not enough to pay off creditors and live from sunrise to sunset. Hence, the amount of debts gets bigger and bigger each day provided that interests also add up to them.
Let us see some slogans or sets of words that brought great success to the Congress party in the political movement in India after independence.
POWERFUL SLOGANS AND SOLUTIONS:
“Jai Jawan! Jai Kishan!” played a great role in parliamentary election once, when the burning problem was national security and the need for more food production. “Kharibi Hatoe” was key word in another election. ‘Success to Soldiers! Success to Peasants!’, and ‘Drive away Famine!’ are the two sets of meaningful slogans that assured ‘national safety and prosperity’ once and ‘food for all’ in another occasion.
Under guidance from President Obama the United States government is offering scholarships to single and low income mothers. Often mothers are somewhat cut off from the world as they are raising their children, and when the children are old enough to be on their own, these mothers, who have paid their dues for so many years, are often totally unprepared to enter the working class world.
Many of these programs require choosing a University that offers degrees that qualify, which may narrow the options available, but there are still many educational opportunities available. Many times good jobs are only available to someone with a degree, and often these employers are willing to give a good paying job to someone with a degree, even over someone who has more real life experience in a particular field, but has no formal education.
The state of Ohio has quietly ruled out a new investigation of the May 4, 1970 shootings at Kent State. This despite a front-page story in Cleveland’s Plain Dealer (May 9, 2010) reporting that two audio forensics experts, using modern-day enhanced technology, concluded they heard someone issue a “Prepare to fire” order on a tape recording made by a student.
Amanda Wurst, the press secretary for Ohio Governor George Strickland, sent me an e-mail saying: “We do not have the resource [sic] to conduct such an analysis.” There has not been an official announcement, and there may not be, but Wurst’s statement seems to rule out any further study of the recording by the state of Ohio.
